The Company
Our company, one of the oldest companies of Piraeus, was founded by George Markopoulos in 1959 under the company name “GEORGE MARKOPOULOS & CO”. In 1984, Leonidas Markopoulos converted it into a public limited company and since then it operates under the company name “MARKOPOULOS S.A.” and the trade name “MARKOPACK“.
Our company supplies a wide range of products for industrial packaging, the food packaging industry and the agricultural sector.
All of our products are turnkey, made of top quality polypropylene (PP), polyethylene, jute and paper raw materials.
Our Greek clientele includes flour milling industries, animal feed industries, fresh product packing plants, tobacco industries, agricultural unions, agricultural olive oil associations, commercial businesses, agricultural product stores, as well as the areas of agricultural and shipping supplies.
Our top-class staff and management as well as our long experience are our company’s assets, and we are proud to have been in constant operation for half a century and to continue to be assertive and to provide our services in a consistent, flexible, swift and comprehensive way.
