General information on shading nets
Heavy duty knitted shading nets / wind breaking nets made from high density polyethylene (HDPE). Our shading nets are UV-enhanced, so that they are not damaged by solar radiation (ultraviolet rays).
Shading nets weaken the wind’s intensity and greatly reduce saltiness in areas near the sea. They also protect from the largest volume of sand and dirt which harms the produce.
Use
Shading nets are used in various types of crops, greenhouses, nurseries, as well as at constructions (they are applied on the scaffolds during building constructions or renovations). They are suitable for many other uses, wherever shading or/and wind protection is required.
Types and specifications of shading nets
There are four (4) types of shading nets available, to satisfy every need:
1. E.30 shading net
Type: Ε.30
Weight: 30 gr/m²
Shade: 20–25%
The Ε-30 shading net is suitable for a shade of 20-25%. It is a light-weight net, weighing only 30 gr/m².
It is recommended for shading crops like tomatoes, peppers, etc. It is also suitable for shading greenhouses that must not be entirely exposed to the sun, for better crop protection.
The E.30 shading net is frequently used to cover constructions and surrounding areas of crops and greenhouses, to prevent dust from coming in or out. It has very mild wind-breaking properties.
Dimensions
The E.30 shading net is available in 50 or 100 metrerolls, at a width of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 8 metres.
2. Ε.60 shading net
Type: Ε.60
Weight: 45 gr/m²
Shade: 35–40%
The Ε-60 shading net is suitable for a shade of 35-40%. It is a light-weight net, weighing 45 gr/m².
Its use is similar with that of the E-30 shading net and it is recommended for a wide range of vegetable and citrus fruit crops.
The E.60 shading net is more reinforced than the E-30 and it produces more shade. Therefore, it is recommended for the protection of crops in areas with intense sunshine and high temperatures. This net also is used in greenhouses and other crops, as well as at constructions and surrounding areas. It has very mild wind-breaking properties.

The E.60 shading net is available in 50 or 100 metrerolls, at a width of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 8 metres.
3. Ε.90 shading net
Type: Ε.90
Weight: 75 gr/m²
Shade: 60–65%
The Ε-90 shading net is suitable for a shade of 60-65%. It is heavier than the previous nets and it weighs 75 gr/m².
It is mainly used for fruit trees, greenhouses, tobacco drying plants, and generally wherever more shade and greater protection of crops and produces from solar radiation is required.
They are suitable for shading, as well as for creating microclimates inside greenhouses. As a wind protection net it has average wind-breaking properties.

The E.90 shading net is available in 50 or 100 metrerolls, at a width of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 metres.
4. Ε.125 shading net
Type: Ε.125
Weight: 125 gr/m²
Shade: 90%
The E-125 shading net is suitable for a shade of 90%. It is the heaviest and strongest net a producer might need and it weighs 125 gr/m².
It is suitable for shading but also for wind protection, as it has advanced wind-breaking properties. The E-125 shading net is used in greenhouses and crops that need maximum solar radiation and wind protection. This makes it the perfect wind-breaking net. It can be used for sheltering greenhouses and crops, providing them with shade.
It is also extensively used at constructions for the covering of buildings, so that dust is kept inside, providing protection from falling plasters or other materials.
Furthermore the ends having gaps (loops) to be secured more easily and better with rope, wire or the specific clips.
Ε.125 shading net

The E-125 is knitted more densely than the other shading nets and it has higher UV content, for better resistance.

The Ε.125 shading net is available in 50 metrerolls, at a width of 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 metres.
5. E.135 shading net
Type: Ε.135
Weight: 135 gr/m²
Shade: 90%
Colours: Silver, Beige
The E-135 shading net is suitable for a shade of 90%. It is the heaviest and strongest net a producer might need and it weighs 135 gr/m².
It is suitable for shading but also for wind protection, as it has advanced wind-breaking properties. Ideal for parking and fencing.
The E-135 shading net is used in greenhouses and crops that need maximum solar radiation and wind protection. It can be used for sheltering greenhouses and crops, providing them with shade.
It is also extensively used at constructions for the covering of buildings, so that dust is kept inside, providing protection from falling plasters or other materials.
